Sally Ryde

Sally grew up in Cheltenham, and was practically performing from the pram! From an early childhood of ballet, tap and modern dance, she performed in a wide variety of plays with various local theatre groups at the Everyman theatre, Playhouse and Roses Theatre during her school years. After A-levels she went to Stratford-Upon-Avon for a year to study a post 18 drama course at the local college, then went on to gain a BA Hons in Theatre & Visual Arts at the University of Plymouth.

After graduating Sally moved to Bristol, where she worked at UWE’s art campus. She ran the student theatre club as well as regularly working as an extra in TV & film for the BBC, Bottle Yard Studios and Aardman Animation. Some of the more notable programs she has worked on are Casualty, Teachers and Skins, as well as numerous films. Since moving back to Cheltenham, she has also been involved with voice over work and audiobook narration as well as running her own successful photography business.

Sally brings her natural enthusiasm and positive energy to My Stage School and works as one of our acting coaches. She is committed to providing a professional level of teaching as well as encouraging the pupils to have fun, explore their imagination, and develop their individual creative talents.
